01
Definition
Closed systems are understood to mean machines or equipment that use containment solutions for critical processes such as filling, dosing or cleaning, thereby preventing external influences. The effect of such closed systems is described in more detail under the term containment.
02
Implementation in filling processes
Containment solutions provide an efficient way to implement a closed system in filling processes and thereby prevent contamination of the products being filled. Rhein-Plast liners and transfer bags are designed as an integral part of closed-system solutions and are fully validatable.
03
OEB requirements & regulation
For active substances from OEB 3 upwards, closed systems with primary containment are mandatory. Rhein-Plast offers validated containment solutions for OEB classes 2–5 that comply with regulatory requirements in accordance with APCPPE and GMP and can be integrated into existing filling lines.
