01
What is packaging?
Conversion refers to the further processing of film rolls into finished packaging products. This includes cutting, welding, sealing, folding and perforating the film to produce bags, sacks, liners, cut pieces, hoods or other custom-made packaging units. Conversion is the final manufacturing step before delivery to the customer.
02
Areas of application
Made-to-measure film products are used in virtually all packaging sectors. In industrial packaging, the range includes drum liners, container liners, big-bag liners, flat bags, gusseted bags and shrink hoods, among other things. Depending on customer requirements, the products can be supplied in specific dimensions, with printing, perforations, vent holes or special closures.
03
Procedures & Quality Assurance
Modern packaging systems operate with automatic sealing bars, ultrasonic or impulse sealing techniques, and integrated quality controls. Seal strength is checked on a sample basis using tensile testing. For GMP-relevant products, packaging is carried out under controlled conditions with complete batch traceability. Product dimensional accuracy is ensured through sample measurements and statistical process control.
