01 What is REACH?

REACH is a regulation of the European Union that came into force on 1 June 2007. It aims to protect people and the environment from risks posed by chemicals and at the same time to increase the competitiveness of the chemical industry in the EU. The manufacture of or EU import of chemicals of one tonne per year or more is subject to registration. For intermediates, an exemption applies under strictly controlled conditions.

02 Containment as a REACH solution

By using containment solutions, the criteria for strictly controlled conditions can be met, which considerably simplifies and reduces the cost of the registration process. Rhein-Plast containment solutions are highly flexible and can be adapted to individual REACH requirements.

03 REACH & packaging materials

For packaging materials that come into contact with chemical substances, REACH compliance and complete documentation of the materials used are also required. Rhein-Plast provides full REACH declarations of conformity for all film products.
